Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a brief treatment that is effective in reducing or eliminating the anticipatory anxiety that may accompany many different kinds of performance: speeches, presentations, recitals, job interviews, athletic tournaments, or any other high-pressure situations in which you think you may become overwhelmed with anxiety or self-doubt.

EMDR works by helping the brain integrate positive thoughts, beliefs, memories and feelings your the way you perceive yourself in a performance situation. It's like positive visualization, but with greater lasting effect, due to the neurological changes the bilateral stimulation facilitates. These sessions help you gain more mastery over your inner experience, reduce levels of physiological arousal, and help restore cognitive functioning in high-stress situations when you need it most.

If you have struggled with performance anxiety in the past and are looking for a straightforward way to overcome it, call for a free consultation to see if I can help.
